Role Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Account Director to lead operational and commercial performance of a key client contract within the SMART portfolio.
You’ll oversee the maintenance of M&E systems, lead on-site teams, and drive service excellence — while managing a contract P&L, ensuring costs are controlled, performance targets are met, and opportunities for sustainable growth are identified.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Take ownership of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works, ensuring 100% statutory and contractual compliance.
Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams through regular briefings, toolbox talks and structured performance appraisals.
Produce accurate monthly client reports and maintain clear and professional client communication.
Manage QHSE audits and documentation and performance standards.
Oversee additional works, quotations, and supplier performance in line with contractual and commercial requirements.
Manage budgets, monitor spend and protect P&L performance across a circa £3m contract portfolio.
Identify and deliver opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.
Education and Training:
2–5 years’ experience in FM or operational contract management
Experience leading and developing managers or teams
Strong knowledge of M&E systems and operational processes
Confident managing budgets, financial performance, and reporting
Excellent communication skills with a focus on client relationships
Desirable: 18th Edition, C&G 2391, or Mechanical/HVAC qualifications
